Happy Birthday to EastCoast Entertainment, which celebrated its 40th birthday last month in Richmond, Virginia. Over the years, EastCoast has set the standard for events worldwide and today has offices in Richmond, Charlotte, Atlanta, Charleston, Washington DC, Philadelphia, Raleigh and Columbia, South Carolina. EastCoast understands the important work of providing entertainment for clients. They have been connecting clients and artists and making memories for 40 years, and I have been lucky to be part of it!
The 40th celebration was a wonderful event topped off with an after party jam session. Many of the agents in the company are talented musicians who have made the transition from artist to agent. Some of the agents are still working musicians today. As many of us know, there would be no music business without the staff who work behind the scenes to keep the artists working. EastCoast has proven over the past 40 years that they are the best in the business.
We also had many things to celebrate at the party. For instance, Kenny Mann received the lifetime achievement award for 50 years in the entertainment industry. Kenny paved the way for many of us and is still going strong today with his band “Liquid Pleasure.” Kenny has remained true to his music and his focus on quality is a model that will always be in style. And, Mark Letson, who heads up the National Division of East Coast, recently received the award for National Corporate Buyer of the year from his peers in the industry. Mark is just one example of how EastCoast has been an innovator in the industry and I don’t expect that to change.
There’s no doubt that EastCoast has a bright future. The company has a great mix of young talented agents and veterans who will guide the company forward for years to come.
