Party on the Moon recently had the honor of performing at the New Orleans Superdome with Carrie Underwood for the Endymion Mardi Gras celebration. It’s one of the most spectacular parties in the world. Just imagine the floor of the Superdome with white table clothes and guests dressed in black tie and beautiful gowns. This is the where the famous Endymion parade ends as large floats filled with bead throwers from the Endymion Krew make the final lap around the superdome. It’s a site one will never forget.

After the parade, Carrie Underwood and her band performed a terrific set.  We had the chance to visit with her and the band in the dressing room before the show. She is not only one of the most talented women in the music business, but also one of the nicest people you will ever meet.  Her show had it all! She performed all her hits, as well as a wonderful version of “How Great Thou Art.” She ended the show with Guns And Roses’ “Paradise City.”

This was our fifth year to perform at this wonderful event.  It’s one of our favorite gigs. In the past we have shared the stage with Train, Pat Benetar and Lynard Skynard.

If you have never been to Mardi Gras, I encourage you to experience it. As for Party on the Moon, we hope to return next year with a brand new show. Check out photos and videos taken by Jim Boling on the Party on the Moon FaceBook page.
