We’re proud to share an amazing accomplishment by Party on the Moon’s very own vocalist Kelsie Chandler. She recently placed 2nd at Quincy Robert’s Muscle Heat competition in Greensboro, NC. Our team members always strive to be the best they can be no matter what they do and here is a great example of that spirit. Below are a few words from Kelsie on her journey.

“I recently competed in my second NPC Bikini Competition and it taught me a lot about what it takes to truly set and accomplish a goal. While I have set many personal and career goals before, I have not always had a structure and plan in place to help me achieve them. And, of course, without a plan, I did not always succeed.

While prepping for this particular competition, I learned plenty of patience, self-control and self-motivation. I realized early on that my success would depend on daily choices, so I took guidance from my coach, Steve Payne, and implemented his structured diet and workout plan. I was challenged mentally, emotionally and physically throughout my six-month prep for the stage. There were quite a few bad days when my energy was low or I just wasn’t motivated, but the path was simple: follow the plan, listen to your body and everything else will fall into place.

Whatever goals I I set in the future, whether it’s music or fitness, I’ll be sure to have a plan in place and people around me who I can turn to for knowledge and advice. I will make daily decisions to succeed regardless of emotional or physical demands because I have a solid foundation to support what I want to achieve. I encourage you to do the same.  If you fail, keep trying.  But this time, create a plan! Without it, you can burn yourself out, fail time and again and create bad habits which are hard to break.”
