People often ask me how Party on the Moon got its start. The short answer is the stars aligned perfectly at the right time.

I have been passionate about making music my whole life, and had spent my career writing songs, playing gigs and trying to get record deals. I thought I would make original music forever. But, about 10 years ago, things started to change in the music industry. I took a hard look at the state of music, the record business and my chances of making it big. With a family at home, including three small children at the time, I made the decision to go in another direction.

And that direction was to be the best corporate and events party band in America.  Why?  Well, I knew there was a large market for high-end, but affordable entertainment that delivered as much fun as celebrity entertainment. I also knew of great national talent that would welcome the opportunity. And, of course, it would allow me to do I what I enjoy most. So, I put on my entrepreneur hat, and created Party on the Moon.

The clincher for this new career of mine came when Ed Duncan, East Coast Entertainment’s senior partner, called me after seeing my five-piece band and asked if we wanted to expand to 13, something no other band in the southeast had. So we partnered, and it’s been full force ahead since. In fact, today we are doing so well, we’ve created additional bands to meet the demand.

We attribute this success to a number of factors.  First, our musicians are top-caliber talent who have backed some of the hottest stars around including Beyonce, Elton John, Janet Jackson, Earth Wind and Fire and Outkast…to name a few (and they also happen to be nice and are 100% committed to our cause). Second, our shows are available at affordable prices. Third, we play non-stop for at least three hours keeping the energy level at our party’s sky high. And, last but certainly not least, is our mission at each and every event to deliver the best party and memories possible for our clients and their guests.
