This holiday season is a chance for us to give and receive, and look ahead to a new year. It’s also a chance to celebrate and give thanks for our triumphs, and to take a moment, in our own way, to remember those whose journey here on Earth ended this year.

I, like some of you, lost someone close to me this past year – someone who helped shape my life. I will miss my aunt dearly. She was one of a kind.

This year, I’m grateful to have a few relationships based in truth and love. I’m grateful for new relationships and seeds of creations that have been planted that hopefully will bring out the best in all of us as we go about making the business of humanity more loving and successful.

In the classic movie “A Christmas Carol”, Scrooge is visited on Christmas Eve by the ghosts of Christmas Past, Christmas Present and Christmas Future. He gets to see the good, the bad and the ugly. When he awakes on Christmas day, he is given and receives grace. Scrooge makes a choice that his life is going to be about something different. He makes a choice to love and accepts others, and allows others to love and accept him. He chooses to serve.

We, like Scrooge, have also been given the gift of grace. We can start anew, regardless of what our past circumstances have been. There is nothing we have to do to earn it. We just have to receive it.

I wish you and your family health, prosperity and more involvement in what you care about. And I encourage you to receive the greatest gift – The gift to start anew.

Happy New Year,

Dennis
