Recently, I had the good fortune to listen to a great speaker from the Disney Company. His audience was the top event planners in the country. His opening statement was, “What business are you in?” The audience responded, “The event business, the entertainment business, the wedding business, etc.” “You are wrong,” he said.  “You’re in the memory business.” As I let the idea sink in, I realized he was right.

The job for all our National Party Bands™ is to set the stage for the magic and memories to happen at every event for each client. The Disney Company may know this better than anyone. Imagine creating a show that is fun to watch and dance to, as well as a show that gets the guests involved and that makes a space for the magic and memories to happen. That’s what each of our National Party Bands™ strives to accomplish.

When I receive emails like, “My husband and I have not danced in years – what a wonderful party!” And, “Months later, people are still talking about this party!” . . . then, I know, we’ve accomplished what we’ve set out to do.

We begin by creating a plan with the client.  Our goal is always – how do we make this the most memorable event ever? We use all the tools we have at our disposal. The venue, the band, the timeline for the event, the staging, the lighting, the décor, the song list – everything has to work together, in concert, down to the minute.

Creating a great event with the client, the planner and production is one of the things I love about this work. When it’s all working – the magic happens. And, the memories last long after the event is over.

I hope we can make memories with you soon!
